OmicsBox automatically allocates up to 50% of the available system memory (i.e. RAM), which is generally suitable for most scenarios. However, in some cases, particularly on Linux systems, this may result in excessive disk swapping and consequently slow down OmicsBox. To address this issue, you can manually adjust the maximum amount of memory that OmicsBox is permitted to utilize. The preferences dialog displayed on the right provides an option to modify the temporary folder location; it's important to restart OmicsBox after making this adjustment for it to take effect.
